RETROFEED is an innovation project funded by the Horizon 2020 programme, launched in 2019 with a total duration of 42 months. Its aim is to accelerate the retrofitting of industrial plants in the ceramics, aluminium, steel, cement and agrochemical sectors, through the integration of digital technologies and Digital Twin-based models.
Optit actively contributes to developing the decision-making tools that make the shift from traditional plants to plants optimised for decarbonisation possible. Our contribution is built on our experience in mathematical modelling and the advanced use of artificial intelligence to support companies in their investments towards the green transition.
We work within a pan-European network of centres of excellence, alongside research bodies and industrial partners, to develop replicable, scalable solutions that can turn the data collected from plants into low-environmental-impact operational decisions.
Carried out with the contribution of the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (grant agreement No. 869939).
