TUPLES (Trustworthy Planning and Scheduling with Learning and Explanations) is a three-year project funded by Horizon Europe that aims to make AI-based planning and scheduling systems more transparent, robust and scalable.

The goal is ambitious: to increase trust in intelligent technologies by developing algorithms that are not only high-performing, but also explainable and verifiable.

Optit’s contribution focuses on two real use cases, in the energy and waste collection sectors, which make it possible to test the new methods in highly complex settings. We have also built an innovative Competition Platform that makes it possible to assess the effectiveness of different analytical models and approaches (not just their results) in scientific open innovation processes.

Contact us for all the information about the platform.

Through TUPLES we work to integrate symbolic and data-driven methods, with particular attention to human/machine interaction.

We believe the power of artificial intelligence is best expressed when it comes with clear explanations and shareable decision-making processes that increase understanding and adoption by those who use it.

Carried out with the contribution of the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme (grant agreement No. 101070149 — HORIZON-CL4-2021-HUMAN-01).
