{"id":41543,"date":"2025-08-19T14:28:08","date_gmt":"2025-08-19T12:28:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/optit.net\/progetto-finanziato\/plames\/"},"modified":"2026-08-04T13:35:59","modified_gmt":"2026-08-04T11:35:59","slug":"plames","status":"publish","type":"progetto-finanziato","link":"https:\/\/optit.net\/en\/funded-projects\/plames\/","title":{"rendered":"PLAMES"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PLAMES (Planning and Modelling Energy Systems) is a European Research and Innovation project funded by Horizon 2020, started in <strong>2019<\/strong> with a <strong>three-year<\/strong> duration. Its goal is to provide tools for the integrated, large-scale planning of <strong>multi-energy<\/strong> systems (electricity, heat, gas and mobility), to support strategic decisions in the <strong>energy transition<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Working with leading partners such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rwth-aachen.de\/go\/id\/a\/?lidx=1\">RWTH Aachen University<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fraunhofer.de\/en\/about-fraunhofer.html\">Fraunhofer Institute<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unibo.it\/it\">University of Bologna<\/a> and the Turkish utility <a href=\"https:\/\/www.osmangaziedas.com.tr\/\">OEDAS<\/a>, we created a method and a solution that integrates models and tools for simulating and optimising the evolution scenarios of energy systems. The model takes account of physical, economic and environmental constraints, and is designed to map out <strong>decarbonisation<\/strong> pathways at <strong>regional and national scale<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Carried out with the contribution of the European Union\u2019s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, under grant agreement
