{"id":47499,"date":"2026-10-01T20:05:10","date_gmt":"2026-10-01T18:05:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/optit.net\/insights\/optit-achieves-iso-iec-27001-certification-for-information-security-3\/"},"modified":"2026-10-01T20:11:09","modified_gmt":"2026-10-01T18:11:09","slug":"optit-achieves-iso-iec-27001-certification-for-information-security-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/optit.net\/en\/news\/optit-achieves-iso-iec-27001-certification-for-information-security-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Optit achieves ISO\/IEC 27001 certification for information security"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Optit has achieved <strong>ISO\/IEC 27001:2022<\/strong> certification, the international standard that sets out the requirements for an information security management system.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:post-content --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>The certificate was issued by DNV Business Assurance, an ACCREDIA-accredited body, and confirms that the way we manage information (our clients&#8217; information, our project information and the information that feeds our models) meets the most rigorous criteria recognised internationally.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:heading --><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why it matters for Decision Intelligence<\/h2>\n<p><!-- \/wp:heading --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Data <\/strong>is the starting point of every project we take on: the <strong>raw material<\/strong> we use to help complex organisations <strong>decide<\/strong> better. Anyone who entrusts us with their data is entrusting us with something valuable. <\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>The certification covers a precise scope: the design, development, delivery and maintenance of software solutions and services that incorporate artificial intelligence algorithms \u2014 whether on-premise or delivered via Cloud\/SaaS \u2014 along with AI-based technology consulting and business consulting services. In other words, exactly what we do. <\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Better decisions require data you can trust, and information security is what makes that trust possible.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>This certification is a further step on a path we have been following for some time: making sure the data entrusted to us is always managed and protected to the highest security standards.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:heading --><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nine months to build a security management system<\/h2>\n<p><!-- \/wp:heading --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Achieving certification took nine months of work. Not to compile a manual, but to <strong>build<\/strong> an information security <strong>management system<\/strong> that lives in our <strong>day-to-day processes<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:list --><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<li>We defined policies and procedures for incident and change management.<\/li>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<li>We carried out risk analysis and put business continuity in place, so we know in advance how to react when something goes wrong.<\/li>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<li>We aligned GDPR requirements with those of the standard, so that data protection and information security speak the same language.<\/li>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<li>We redesigned the way we manage suppliers, clients and documentation, and strengthened our secure software development practices across the entire product lifecycle.<\/li>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<li>And, above all, we trained everyone on the team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Security isn&#8217;t a technical safeguard left to a few: it&#8217;s a way of working shared by everyone. A system is only as strong as the habits of the people who use it every day. <\/p>\n<p>This is the deeper meaning of the standard.
