The award recognized outstanding work based on problem relevance, scientific depth, practical application with real data, and communication effectiveness.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The winner of the award for the best applied OR presentation was Lavinia Ghilardi, with an excellent study on \u201cOptimal gas pipelines operation: sustainability and sector coupling.\u201d<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Honorable mentions were awarded to:<br\/>\u2022 Aleyna G\u00fcrsoy \u2013 \u201cScheduling Blood Components Production: a Real-Life Case Study\u201d<br\/>\u2022 Martina Doneda \u2013 \u201cRobust operating rooms advance scheduling with probabilistic regression\u201d<br\/>\u2022 Martina Galeazzo \u2013 \u201cAn Integer Programming Model for the Dynamic Airspace Configuration Problem\u201d<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With over 30 participants, the high level of submissions reaffirmed the exceptional talent of young researchers\u2014essential for building a solid foundation of expertise, enthusiasm, and determination in applying Operations Research to Industry and Services. This is the very environment in which Optit was born.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Congratulations to the winners and all participants!<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery
