With an average of <strong>6,000 units<\/strong> and <strong>500 orders per day per<\/strong> single <strong>site<\/strong>, daily transport planning was handled entirely through manual processes.<\/p>\n<p>The challenge was to <strong>overcome the rigidity of a complex order-to-vehicle allocation process<\/strong>, governed by strict operational constraints: customer delivery deadlines, physical product availability, and loading rules for logistics families (limiting the product mix to one or two categories per load, to cut handling time and cost). All this while minimising the risk of penalties for cancelling fleets already booked on a weekly basis, and aiming to maximise the fill rate of the vehicles in
