The market for renewable energy and energy transition is dynamic and continuously growing, as confirmed by the numbers from the second edition of Key Energy.
The event exhibited record-breaking data: a 41% increase in total attendance compared to 2023 (+60% for international attendance), 830 exhibitors, of which 35% were from abroad, 500 top buyers, and delegations from 57 countries, along with over 120 conferences.
Our presence provided interesting opportunities for discussions, opening up perspectives, especially regarding the possibility of strengthening our presence in the industrial sector where the need for #energy optimization (linked to production scheduling) is tangible and significant.
One noteworthy counter-trend aspect we observed was the almost total absence of districtheating, a solution that is, however, consolidating, an extremely prominent role at the EU level. This is due to the technological maturity of District Heating and Cooling (DHC), which, combined with digital innovation, is capable of delivering excellent results for both producers and consumers, economically and environmentally.
Without aiming for the results seen in countries such as Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, Lithuania, and Poland, where penetration varies between 40% and 65%, well-established studies from the Polytechnic Universities of Milan and Turin, commissioned by the Italian Urban Heating Association – AIRU, unequivocally show that the sector could grow in Italy 4 or 5 times from the current 3%, constituting the most effective and cost-efficient solution on the market!
We continue to distinguish ourselves as a unique entity in Italy in providing digital optimization tools to support the transition towards a sustainable energy future. This conviction is reinforced by the discussions with the business community that attended Rimini in the last few days.
