On April 29, 2021, 4 pm, Daniele Vigo, VeRoLog coordinator and Optit partner, will conduct the plenary on Integrating Machine Learning into state-of-the-art Vehicle Routing Heuristics
The new VeRoLog webinar series is upcoming: we are very glad to announce that our partner Daniele Vigo in the role of VeRoLog coordinator will kick off this initiative coordinating the plenary on “Integrating Machine Learning into state-of-the-art Vehicle Routing Heuristics”.
The Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) is one of the most studied combinatorial optimization problems for which hundreds of innovative heuristic and exact algorithms have been proposed in more than fifty years of research. Recently, some attempts were performed towards the integration of Machine Learning into heuristics to enhance their performance and guide their design.
The event will be the occasion to report some initial efforts VeRoLog performed in this direction and highlight the difficulties and promising research directions which merit further investigation.
VeRoLog is the Working Group on Vehicle Routing and Logistics Optimization within EURO, the Association of the European Operational Research Societies.
The event will take place online on April 29, 2021, 4 pm through Zoom. The link will be soon available on event webpage.
