Our CEO Matteo Pozzi recently attended the annual conference organized by IRDEA, the Irish District Heating Association, bringing Optit’s experience to the roundtable “Planning for the Energy Transition by Learning from the Mistakes of the Past”. During the talk, Matteo shared our vision for an optimized management of the energy transition, in particular for the district heating and cooling sector.
Optit is a leader in Digital Innovation for District Heating, providing innovative solutions that support and optimize the digital transition and the development of district heating in Italy, Europe and North America. We are proud to be part of Enable DHC – Enabling Strategies for Efficient and Sustainable District Heating and Cooling, a European LIFE23-CET project aimed at promoting the sustainable transition of district heating and cooling systems in seven countries. As Work Package 3 leader, Optit will develop investment plans to integrate renewable sources and improve the energy efficiency of each case study.
Our vision is clear: district heating is a key solution for the decarbonization of the energy system, but it must evolve to respond to the growing technological complexity and the needs of an increasingly integrated and digital energy system. Through advanced tools, we want to help utilities exploit the potential of data to improve the performance of the DHC system.
