Optit is proud to announce its continued involvement in the TUPLES project. As an industrial partner since its inception in 2022, Optit remains dedicated to advancing the project’s mission of developing transparent, robust, and safe algorithmic solutions in a particularly relevant area of AI research and applications: planning and scheduling (P&S).
The TUPLES project represents a significant leap forward in the field of AI, aiming to integrate a more human-centered approach into the development of P&S tools. By combining the strengths of data-driven and knowledge-based symbolic AI, the project seeks to enhance confidence in these systems and accelerate their adoption across various industries.
At the recent semi-annual meeting, Optit had the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders, including Saarland University, KU Leuven University, Aniti at the University of Toulouse, Bologna University, CVUT University in Prague, AI Research at Airbus, and SciSports. With over 40 individuals contributing their expertise and insights over the past 18 months, under the guidance of Sylvie Thiebaux, Optit is proud to be part of this collective effort to shape the future of AI.
Optit’s role within the project extends to communication responsibilities, as well as overseeing two specific use cases focusing on energy management and waste collection. Through practical demonstrations in various domains such as manufacturing, aircraft operations, sport management, waste collection, and energy management, TUPLES aims to showcase the tangible benefits of its advancements, fostering confidence and accelerating adoption of AI solutions.
Reflecting on the collaborative journey thus far, Optit acknowledges the dedication and hard work of all involved, emphasizing the ambitious yet achievable nature of the project’s objectives. With the conclusion of the 18-month assembly at the historic campus of Saarland University, Optit remains committed to the shared goal of making AI trustworthy, uniting individuals from diverse backgrounds and nationalities in pursuit of innovation and excellence.
